24 Jan Pitchbook’s 2018 4Q Venture Monitor
The 2018 4Q Venture Monitor provides a detailed look at Venture Capital projects across the country. According to Pitchbook’s report, over $130 billion was invested in over 8,900 Venture Capital deals in 2018. We’re happy to say that venture capital groups in Colorado provided $1.6 billion in funding in 2018, more than ever before! Pitchbook states that, “ Venture funds closed on $55.5 billion across 256 vehicles, the highest capital raised figure PitchBook has ever recorded, and the fifth consecutive year that at least $34 billion was raised. The fundraising dollar amount in 2018 was fueled by the continued rise of VC mega-funds as vehicles raising at least $500 million accounted for 57.0% of all capital raised last year.”
