Sarah joined Sunbelt Business Brokers in 2021 and she is excited to bring her experience as a corporate CFO to the small business sector. Using her experience to help the business owner understand their financials and present these to outside parties is a key component to the sales process. Her goal is to get the value the business truly deserves through quantitative analysis and an in-depth understanding of the business operations for each of her clients.
Sarah has experience as a CFO for 10 years in the healthcare industry where she participated in the transaction process with middle market private equity firms. The negotiations and detailed process of investment funding has given her value that she can apply to the main street business arena. While serving as a CFO she spearheaded the expansion of sales, accounting, and IT teams to keep up with company growth. Sarah managed the financial planning and budget with a focus on growth for the company and helped to increase revenues by $20 million in as little as 2 years.
Sarah is a licensed broker and certified public accountant with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sarah was a collegiate volleyball player at CMU earning defensive player of the year for 4 years, RMAC Defensive Player of the year her senior year and all region Daktronics defensive player. She still enjoys coaching her daughter and playing volleyball competitively indoors and in the sand.
Sarah, her husband and two children love Colorado and its endless opportunities to adventure in the great outdoors. They enjoy downhill and cross-country mountain biking, hiking, camping, and swimming.
